The continuous flow of movements demonstrates the flow of energy within ourselves. Combined with breathing, you can almost trace the flow of negative energy leaving the body and the pull of positive energy with each inhalation.

Watching Fu move with such effortless and such graceful movements puts me at a calm state, almost as if I am meditating. It's like you can almost see the energy flowing through Fu.

While I have heard of tai chi before, I have not seen in practice prior to this video. I am surprised and impressed with the intention in which each motion is done. I can see how this practice would aid in fostering a mind body connection.

Yang-style tai chi looks peaceful, mindful and intentional. Watching Fu move gracefully through these moves reminded me of the power of energy, and the fact that we are made up of constantly moving energized bodies! These moves could definitely become meditative after some time, and help regulate mood and decrease anxiety.

I've seen a lot of Praying Mantis stylists doing Praying Mantis handsets. Beautiful performances! What this performance has that MOST of the others (that I've seen) don't have, is Brendan Lai's handspeed... Not only are his hands moving fast but his step is precise. "Techniques can match other techniques, but nothing can match speed" -- Brendan Lai Fan Tsu Tung was +300 pounds. What was he known for most? Other than his Iron Palm technique? His speed. +300 pound human known for how fast his hands were... Then there is "Lightning Hands Li". Right in his name. "Lightning Hands"... 7-Star Praying Mantis handsets can be done fast, slow, or somewhere in the middle. They can be done with a lot of energy put into the movements, or done at a pace where you don't want to get all sweaty. To me, none of it is wrong.
